Beginning Monday, April 10th  and continuing through Friday, May 5th, Rick Hubbard, Vermont candidate for the U.S. Senate, will be walking up the east side of Vermont on Rt. 5 from Brattleboro to the Canadian border to advocate for national campaign finance reform.

Rick is a native Vermonter challenging Senator Jim Jeffords in the upcoming November election. Details of his candidacy and positions on issues are available on his web site at www.rickhubbard.org

Rick’s schedule, subject to change, follows:

Mon. April 10th – In Brattleboro meeting with citizens and collecting petition signatures.
Tue. April 11th – In Brattleboro meeting with citizens and collecting petition signatures.
Wed. April 12th  – Walk from Brattleboro to Putney
Thurs. April 13th – Walk from Putney through East Putney and Westminster toward Bellows Falls.
Fri. April 14th – Walk into Bellows Falls and meet with citizens and collect petition signatures
Sat. April 15th – Walk from Bellows Falls toward Springfield
Sun. April 16th – Rest Day
Mon. April 17th – Walk into Springfield and north toward Ascutney
Tues. April 18th – Walk from Ascutney through Windsor toward Hartland
Wed. April 19th – Walk through Hartland to White River Junction
Thurs. April 20th –  In White River Junction meeting with citizens and collecting petition signatures.
Fri. April 21st - Walk from White River Junction through Norwich toward Pompanoosuc.
Sat. April 22nd – Walk through Pompanoosuc and East Thetford to Fairlee.
Sun. April 23rd –  Rest Day
Mon. April 24th - Walk from Fairlee through Bradford to South Newbury.
Tues. April 25th – Walk from South Newbury through Newbury to Wells River.
Wed. April 26th – Rest Day
Thur. April 27th – Walk from Wells River to Barnet.
Fri. April 28th – Walk from Barnet to St. Johnsbury.
Sat. April 29th - In St. Johnsbury meeting with citizens and collecting petition signatures.
Sun. April 30th – Walk from St. Johnsbury to Lyndonville.
Mon. May 1st – Walk from Lyndonville through both East Burke and West Burke and on toward Barton.
Tues. May 2nd – Walk on into Barton.
Wed. May 3rd – Walk from Barton through Orleans to Coventry.
Thurs. May 4th – Walk from Coventry to Newport and meet with citizens and collect petition signatures.
Fri. May 5th – Walk from Newport to Derby Line.

Along the way Rick will be meeting and talking with Vermonters. Look for the person with a red backpack and the large sign that says “Honk for national campaign finance reform”.

Rick says “If you believe campaign finance reform is important to improving our political process, please give a honk to show your support as you pass by”.
