PRESS RELEASE – for release Thursday, September 30th,
1999 From Thursday, September 30th through Friday, October 15th, Rick Hubbard, Vermont candidate for the U.S. Senate, will be walking from the Canadian border down Rt 7 to the Massachusetts to advocate for national campaign finance reform. Rick is a native Vermonter challenging Senator Jim Jeffords in the upcoming November election. Details of his candidacy and positions on issues are available on his web site at www.rickhubbard.org Along the way Rick will be meeting and talking with Vermonters. Look for the person with a red backpack and the large sign that says “Honk for national campaign finance reform”. Rick says “If you believe campaign finance reform is important to improving our political process, please give a honk to show your support as you pass by”.
